Each app, in short
RoomGPT
A web tool: upload a room photo, pick a room type and a theme. The site says "You will get 1 generation for free" after a Google sign-in. Prices for more generations only appear once you're signed in, so we couldn't confirm them. Its site code lists 9 room types and 9 themes. No phone app is linked from the site.

Interior AI
A web studio with more inputs than most: photos, sketches, SketchUp models and text prompts, plus exterior, garden and paint tools on higher plans. It publishes no free tier. Plans start at $49 a month (Pro) or $349 a year, and the site says it gives no refunds. You need an account to use it.
Watch the name: an Android app called "Interior AI - AI Home Design" on Google Play is from a different company. interiorai.com links to no phone app.

Remodel AI
Web plus iOS and Android apps. The free plan is "3 free designs" at "standard quality", with no card and no sign-up on the web tool; "no watermark" is listed as a Pro feature. Paid plans start at $29 a month or $349 a year. It also lists exterior, garden and paint tools.
Two things to note. Its own pages give different numbers of rooms (8 and 16+) and styles (30+, 27+ and 50+). And an App Store app called "Remodel AI - Home Design" belongs to a different company; remodelai.io's iOS app is rated 3.5 from 762 ratings, while its Android app has 4.6 from 5,520.

Home AI (HubX)
The most popular photo-based app in this list by store numbers: 4.3 from 993,842 ratings and 10M+ downloads on Google Play, and 4.5 from 161K ratings on the App Store. Its FAQ promises "a free trial and limited free usage" without saying how many designs. The App Store lists weekly plans from $4.99 (a trial offer) to $14.99 and yearly plans at $19.99 and $39.99. The website shows no prices, and we couldn't check which offer a new user sees.

REimagine Home
Web and Android, with the widest feature list here: photo or text input, floor plans, batches of up to 50 photos, and a shopping cart linked to Amazon and Shopify. "All new users get 5 free designs - same AI, same quality as paid plans", but you need an account first. The plans shown on the page start at $19 a month; the page's own metadata says $14, so check at checkout.

Planner 5D
A 3D home planner first, with AI added on top. You draw or import a floor plan and furnish it in 3D, which is the way to check real sizes. The free plan has unlimited projects and half of the furniture catalog. Premium costs $19.99 a month or $59.99 a year on the website; its iOS description says $9.99 a month, so prices can differ by store. It is on web, iOS, Android and desktop.

decoraiapp.com (a different "DecorAI")
Not us. This is another app called DecorAI, made by Rocket Digital. It gives "three free AI designs every day", each unlocked by watching a short video ad, and Pro removes the watermark and ads. No account is needed. The website shows no prices. The App Store lists weekly plans of $4.99–$9.99, $17.99 monthly, $39.99 yearly and a lifetime option. On Google Play it has 4.4 from 4,068 ratings and contains ads. The site claims 4.8 stars on the App Store; the store showed 4.6.

Homestyler
Another 3D planner, from floor plans or sketches, with an AI image tool and an "AI Stager". The free plan includes unlimited 1K renders, but AI tools get "3 credits in total", and one AI Stager image costs 10 credits. Paid plans start from $4.9 a month. On Google Play it has 3.3 from 91,283 ratings; on the App Store, 4.4 from 5.6K.

DecorAI for Android (ours)
Our app, judged by the same rules. It does one thing: take a photo of a room, choose 1 of 15 styles and 1 of 5 room types, and get a redesign with a before/after slider. You get 2 free designs with no account, no ads and no watermark. PRO costs $3.99 a week or $24.99 a year in the US and allows up to 20 designs a day.
What it doesn't do: no iPhone version, no floor plans or measurements, no exterior or garden, no shopping links. In our tests it restyles empty rooms but often adds little furniture (only 2 of 11 empty rooms came back fully furnished). It launched in October 2026 and has no store ratings yet. Real examples are on our AI kitchen and bathroom pages.
